Biruni University, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design started education in the 2019-2020 academic year. The education period of our department is 4 years.
Interior Architecture and Environmental Design is a field for regulating the relations between human, place and environment. In our department, care is taken to benefit from new education models. During the training period, efforts are made to strengthen ties with the construction and furniture industry and to gain different perspectives on the subject. Technical and theoretical courses complement each other, and project studies are carried out taking into account psychological, social and physical needs. While trying to raise questioning, creative and innovative people, an education in which traditional forms are not ignored is aimed.
One of the most important goals of our department is to put the original products produced jointly by students and experts to the market, and to make creativity a way of life in the society through our students. It is among our goals to commercialize the products produced in applied courses and workshops.
The comprehensiveness of the content leads to intense relations between interior architecture and environmental design and other disciplines. In this respect, care is taken to ensure that our students benefit from academics from different fields of expertise during the education period.
Interior architects who graduate from our department will have the opportunity to work in national and international offices, constructions, workshops, factories, universities and various public institutions.
